Language Development Book
Language is a natural and powerful means through which the child expresses thought, emotion and understanding of the world. In the Montessori philosophy, language development is not taught mechanically but unfolds gradually through meaningful interaction with a rich and well-prepared environment.
This module is designed to support the natural progression of language in early childhood, beginning with oral language and moving toward reading and writing. It presents developmentally appropriate activities that help children refine listening, speaking, phonetic awareness, vocabulary and written expression, in harmony with the child's sensitive periods for language.
The purpose of this book is to guide educators in understanding the role of language in the child's overall development and to provide practical Montessori-based strategies that foster confidence, clarity and joyful communication. Through careful observation, purposeful materials and respectful guidance, teachers can nurture a lifelong love for language in every child.
